Tenerife, that means : Eternal spring, the whole year through, with daytime temperatures of approx.75 ° F and approx. 68 ° F at night in the summertime and daytime temperatures of approx. 68° F and approx. 62 ° C at night in the wintertime.   It does not rain during the summer and in the winter it rains only a little bit.

The miniature continent unites all the climatic zones of the earth, featuring tropical plant life and unique geological landscapes which attract visitors from all over the world. Even the ancient Greeks called Tenerife the fortunate or blissful island.

There really is no alternative to this climate in the whole of Europe. It is said and documented that one can grow old in good health in this climate.

On Tenerife, unlike other islands, there are no freshwater problems. The Canarian pine needles are 11.8 inches long and pass the daily condensation to the porous volcanic soil and therefore increase the amount of precipitation by three times. A complex rainwater collecting system and underground bubbles in the basalt filled with groundwater secure the freshwater supply of the island.

The best infrastructure of the Canary Islands offers to the approx. 1.000.000 inhabitants of Tenerife a large supply of goods from all over the world and of course all kinds of british products.

The low tax rates and the zone of free commerce reduce the cost of living on Tenerife by a third compared to the rest of Europe. For example, 0.22 gallon of petrol cost less then 0,90 €, lunch in a restaurant including drinks costs around 10 €, cigarettes do not cost half as much as in the UK.......

There is a lot of criticism of Tenerifes beaches, mainly due to lack of information. The long, narrow Teresitas beach northeast of Santa Cruz has white sand from the Sahara desert and can be used all around the year. Puerto de la Cruz has two well-designed beaches besides the Martianez swimming pools. Below Icod de los Vinos lies the black sandy beach of San Marcos. Towards the south, just after Los Gigantes, is the popular black sandy beach Playa de la Arena.The holiday resorts Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas have light sandy beaches that invite swimmers and sunbathers all year round. The natural beach of El Médano with its strong winds is ideal for devoted windsurfers.

Since 1986 the Canary Islands have belonged to the European Community, so that by now the temporary regulations are outdated and as a full member they have to obey all regulations defined for Europe. The Canary Islands are an Offshorezone and a European zone of free commerce. The Canaries are tax-wise privileged within the European Community because of their special situation (at present only 5 % V.A.T.).

Low tax rates, realistic real estate prices, always pleasant climate and the full membership in the European Community makes Tenerife the ideal location for residence, holiday residence or investment.
